What would Monday mornings at work be without staff meetings? Love ’em or hate ’em, they are everywhere. Turns out they are not a strictly human behavior. Birds have them, too.
There was a huge confab not long ago. Hundreds of birds, dressed in their serious dark suits, flapped into place on the bare branches of several trees.
I probably wouldn’t have noticed if it hadn’t been for the racket – tweeting, twittering, chirping, cheeping, and squawking. Since I don’t speak “bird,” I’m not sure what was being discussed, but it was a loud, heated debate on a matter of some urgency. One thing was certain. They weren’t listening to each other, more intent to put in their two cents than anything else.
Oh, and it was a very long meeting.
Just goes to prove what I always suspected – staff meetings are for the birds.
