I was sitting at lunch the other day, staring into space, not really paying attention to anything except the jumble of thoughts tumbling around in my head. Then I turned and noticed a small tree stripped of its leaves outside the window. The rain that had fallen had formed tiny clear globes that hung on every bare branch of the tree. Even though the day was sunless, the light gray light was enough to make these little round bubbles glisten. The rain had stopped and started again and yet, these magical little orbs clung to the branches and shimmered as other raindrops fell around them.
It made me wonder. Even when our days are cloudy and things aren’t going quite right, do we remain steadfast and glisten in the light we have?
